trend report: spring 2017

I guess I am a little bit late with this post, huh? You’ve probably spent all of your payout money already, haven’t you? ;) But that’s ok! Returning purchases is available in almost every store, so you’re safe! After reading this post you’ll know the biggest fashion trends of this season, so you can double check if your instinct during the latest shopping spree didn’t fool you!

Let’s start with the biggest color trends of this season:

WHITE

For some people white is just white. But the truth is – this color comes in 50 shades as well! Cream, bone and ivory are the biggest this season. In case you haven’t noticed – we wear white a little bit chicer this Spring. So glam it up!

YELLOW

From our favorite lemon sorbet juice to the color of a cab in New York. You are going to love all of the variations of yellow popping up out of nowhere this Spring!

PINK

Pink will be big this season! Well, generally speaking. But the biggest of them all – fuchsia. So prepare yourself of seeing the World through rose-colored glasses!

METALIC

‘Shine bright like a diamond’ Spring 2017 edition. Seems like everybody should invest in gold, or silver. And I’m not talking about stock market, so don’t blame your debt on me!

NEON

From Barbara Bui to Alexander Wang. Many designers showed a huge love for neon. Especially in the sporty edition. It’s better to be safe than sorry, so make sure to wear this trend at least on your way back home after these long Spring or Summer nights ;)

Ok, we know what colors are in, so let’s go and find out which prints are the biggest trends now:

FLORAL

‘Florals? For Spring? Groundbreaking.’ – Devil wears Prada

STRIPES

From bold and colorful to Wall Street inspired in black and white. You choose. No need for limiting yourself this time! Stripes are in and they will stay that way for a long time, so don’t be afraid of making the investment.

WORDS

Feminist slogans (Christian Dior) and declaring your love for porn (Hood by Air) is ok in this age and era, so don’t be afraid to speak your mind! And if you’re done talking – just buy that damn slogan tee… or two!

…and what fabric is huge now?

SHEER

I just hope you keep up with your New Year’s resolutions (yes, you! Leave this damn donut!), because showing off your body was never as in as it is this Spring! Sheer, chiffon layers and all that jazz. Make sure to invest in some pretty lingerie, too. It might come in handy.

And the biggest trend of them all:

SQUARE-SHOULDERED

And last but not least – the square-shouldered 80s inspired tailoring. My favorite Spring 2017 trend! All of these designers, from Dolce & Gabbana to Jil Sander, just made my Spring even better!

These are the 10 biggest Spring 2017 fashion trends. Let me know if you like these kind of posts on my blog and also what is your favorite fashion trend of this season! xo
